Popular Australian wine recalled after glass discovered
A number of Australian wines have been forced to recall after a packaging fault resulted in traces of glass being discovered inside bottles.
Warburn Estate, the creator behind the popular Rumours and Gossip brands, have recalled 13 products from their range via Food Standards Australia and New Zealand.
The following wines are being recalled:
2017 Rumours Semmillon Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Moscato
2017 Gossips Chardonnay, Semillion Sauvignon Blanc, Moscato, Pink Moscato, Dolcetto and Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc
2017 Wine Gang Sauvignon Blanc and 2017 Warburn Estate Sangiovese Rose were also among the wines recalled.
The wines have been available for sale at BWS, Dan Murphy's, independent liquor stores and hotels across Australia.
The Food Standards Australia and New Zealand website reads, 'Consumers should not drink this product and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.'
